“Do not be dismayed by the brokenness of the world. All things break. And all things can be mended. Not with time, as they say, but with intention. So go. Love intentionally, extravagantly, unconditionally. The broken world waits in darkness for the light that is you.” L R Knost

I like this quote of L R Knost, but when I read it, I add the little word “in” just before the last you. How much light do we have inside of us without Jesus, the light of the world? Our fixing of the broken world is like using glue and duck tape, whereas, Jesus heals the broken hearten and sets the prisoners free. We do have our part. We are the church, the hands and feet of Christ. We are to love intentionally, extravagantly, unconditionally. We just can’t get too excited about OUR part when Jesus does the REAL work.
