church thoughts (part two)

I saw this YouTube clip on Facebook this morning and it continues my discussion of “why do people stop attending church?” It doesn’t address the big sins of pastor pedophile and/or theft of resources. Some, of course, have left because of miscommunication and hurting words. I don’t mean to lessen hurting words. They need miraculous healing just like the big illegal ones. My question: Are these sins worthy of cutting ourselves away from the huge sore in the body of Christ or should they spur us on to searching for the white cells to make a scar?

This video addresses the breaking of the greatest and first commandment which is “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” (Matthew 22:37). Here are more questions: Is there a reason to stop searching for a place to rub elbows with other believers? Can we study, learn, and grow better by ourselves without distractions of THOSE OTHERS? Enjoy the video.
